When the heat of summer is upon us, we want nothing more than clothes that fit as loosely and looked as straightforward as possible. Also in other words, the bigger the volume the better. Since no layering is bearable under the circumstance, instead of compromising, playing with volume seems to be the least we could do to still keep things interesting while fighting the heat. Silky fabrics (viscose, satin and crepe de chine are my choices of summer fabric) that fell barely there – allowing for air circulation – and colours as basic as black and white, all topped with just the right amount of detailed craftsmanship, make up the most timeless yet modern voluminous pieces that would keep you company more than one season without fail.
Speaking of volume, flare bottoms seem to never go out of style – tend to be getting bigger and bigger in shape – and they have every right reason to stay in the game with its easy to wear and effortlessly cool nature. In my opinion, a quality pair of tailored flare (preferably cropped in length) is just as essential as your darling flare jeans, due to it being much more sleek and versatile style wise – with just a quick change of sneakers or sandals to heels, it can instantly transform a look from casual to formal.
