Even though I can’t really pinpoint my personal style with exact adjectives, I find myself never fell far from one rule of thumb in general – which is mixing the moderns & the classics. It is very much of a natural instinct when it comes to my fashion choices. I hold dearly to the classic styles and absolutely love mixing them with dressy and high-end pieces. I would say a true fashion girl’s wardrobe won’t cut it without one or two timeless cult pieces that you can always go back to – like a pair of love-it-or-hate-it good old Birkenstock. I don’t care even if the whole world thinks they are ‘ugly’, I think they are cool as f*** and can’t stop wearing them lately. They are the ultimate comfy shoes, and comfort is the key for me these days. The latest pair I got also happened to come in the perfect shade, and they are in suede! Can’t ask for a more classy combo than this.
I love discovering the new as much as digging out the classics, so finding the latest brands out there is also what I enjoy doing. MATÉRIEL is the new cool kid on the block you should get familiar with in case you haven’t yet. The Georgian label obviously knows how to make wearable pieces with an understated avant-garde appeal that a modern woman would want to wear – and surprise, I am her. What draw me to the brand is its tasteful mash of contemporary palette, streamlined shapes and flamboyant choices of materials. I look forward to seeing more from it.
