The fashion choices I make in my adult life sure hinted at me being a tomboy growing up. You know the kind of girl who will always pick pants over skirts if she must choose. Not saying that I like to dress like a tomboy, but the balance of feminity and masculine is what I aim for. I find it to make me feel the most comfortable and confident when there is a certain masculine edge to an otherwise overly feminine look. This might sound cliche, but comfort and confidence are really the keys to great style. I know it because I had learned the hard way.
Sure I had been through my phase of maximalism when looking back. But now is all about the quality over quantity, and not spending too much thought when putting different pieces together. Something as simple as a crisp white shirt and a good pair of jeans make me feel most at home. It is a classic foolproof combo you just can’t go wrong with. I had expressed my fondness for dark wash denim before here. And now when paired with good old white shirts, you are granted with that chic and timeless retro look. By the way, I am also liking what H&M is doing these days. It has been pouring out some great pieces from its premium collection, including the white shirt featured here. The place to look when you want quality for less *wink*
